What is a GeoGizmo?
A GeoGizmo is any item that has had a GeoGizmo number attached to it. The item can then be released in to the world and people who find it or come across it can come on the site and say where it has been and mark on a map where they found it.
A GeoGizmo can be anything you dream of. You could:
- See where a coin might go to on it's travels.
- Find out where a Helium Balloon Flies to.
- Place a message in a bottle and find out where it sails to.
How do I create a GeoGizmo?
To create a GeoGizmo you will first need an item you can use as a GeoGizmo and you will need to be registered.
When you are registered and you have the item ready you should go to the Create a GeoGizmo page. Fill in a name, and a description or mission. You will be given a number which you should attach or mark on your GeoGizmo in some way.
You are then ready to release your GeoGizmo. Around the time of release of just after, sign in and look at your profile. Your GeoGizmo should be listed. Click the release button and you can add a release log. The GeoGizmo is now marked as released. You can sit back and wait to see what happens.
What shouldn't be a GeoGizmo?
Although a GeoGizmo can be anything you wish we recommend to following happens with these sorts of items:

How long will I need to wait for a log?
Depending on the type of item you could be waiting for a log for a long time, or you could get a log within a few days. Be warned, it is quite possible you wouldn't hear from your GeoGizmo for years depending on it's nature. It is also possible that a GeoGizmo disappears forever!
You can increase your chances of getting a log on a GeoGizmo by registering lots of GeoGizmos and releasing them far and wide.
